Bibliography of Published New Zealand Family Histories
The Bibliography of Published New Zealand Family Histories is a listing of separately-published histories of families with descendants in New Zealand.
All of the histories are indexed by author, title, keyword and family names; many are also indexed by founder names; country, county and town of origin; ship on which the family arrived in New Zealand; year of arrival; and region and place of main settlement in New Zealand. Some records also include the surnames of the families into which the first generation of descendants married. The bibliography is compiled by Tony Millett (tony.millett@xtra.co.nz). There are 3350+ records in the collection, which has been added to the New Zealand Index. It is updated periodically by Tony.

Paul Reynolds br>
News of the passing of Paul Renolds on Sunday 23rd May reached us here in Suva. We were shocked and saddened by his sudden death. We, like so many others, have many recollections and stories about the man - some very funny and we know that the tributes coming in will reflect our own memories. Our love and condolences to Helen. The New Zealand Card Index was added to the New Zealand Index database today.
The Knowledge Basket version does not include images of the Library Cards from
which the data was transcribed (all 416,544 of them!). We have attempted to extract
the dates mentioned in the References or Notes field to make a "year" field - this
has succeeded for the majority of records, but there are some which do not have
extractable dates. We have also expanded known abbreviations of sources indexed
so that the user does not have to look them up separately in most cases.
Thanks to Auckland City Libraries for this valuable contribution.

National Business Review - delay in supply
from this day forward.
We have been informed by the NBR that they will be
supplying the NBR late from now on, to all its aggregator
partners including the Knowledge Basket. At this
stage they intend to delay the supply of the
electronic version by 4 weeks.
We are engaging with the NBR in an attempt to change this,
but it looks as though we will not be receiving the
NBR today, Friday 28th August, until some time in the future.
Our apologies for this unwelcome development at such short notice
- we will keep you informed of any developments as they occur
