With the change in ownership, The Independent has ceased sending data to us, and have created their own open access archives covering the same period as The Knowledge Basket’s version. We have therefor decided to discontinue this resource in Newztext. The content can be found at https://www.independent.co.uk.

The Family notices have been moved from NZ Index into Newztext.
The New Zealand Herald Classifieds are updated daily. They include the full text for births, deaths and marriages, plus notices including tenders, mortgagee sales, bankruptcies since 2003.

We will cease to offer casual search access from 1st November 2014, and we are no longer accepting registrations for casual search. We regret that this service is no longer viable. Mediaweb have apparently sold off some of their magazines and discontinued others.
It has been some time since they stopped sending data to The Knowledge Basket, so we have closed off our holdings to the last issue received – approx. October 2013.

The Jurisprudence Yearbooks 1997 – 2011 have been added to the Magazines collection. The Knowledge Basket converted these from PDF to HTML, and all are fully searchable.

We have added a new collection group called “Blogs”. There are 2,600+ blog entries from “Foreign Affairs”, “Live News” and “The Daily Blog”.

Newztext Magazines
Newztext users may have noticed that Mediaweb publications (Admedia, Fastline, FMCG, Management, Onfilm, The Director) were last updated in October last year.
We have had some communication from Mediaweb and understand that they are in a holding pattern until further notice.
We will update you when we have more information.
