Now available - New Zealand Index on our new system. It includes two new collections (The National Bibliography aka Publications New Zealand, and the Waikato Regional News Index). The other collections have been consolidated, for a much cleaner search interface. This is the first database to be released on the new system. Please feel free to provide feedback. More information on the New Zealand Index database page.

Great news for Newztext site licencees - The National Business Review (NBR) is once again being updated each week as each issue is released from embargo.
We have also created a separate collection for the NBR on Newztext which includes an index to articles in early NBR issues before the full text was available. This means you can now search for NBR articles from 1986 to the current year.
For more information check our News page or contact us on 0800 465 695.
14 February 2013
We have added National Business Review articles from 21 September 2012 to 14 December 2012 (777 articles) to the Newztext Site Licence-access databases. Each article is linked to the original (PDF) page of the paper edition of NBR. January 2013 issues are being converted and will be added as they are completed. Thanks to NBR staff for their help.

Retires today. We would like to wish her well for the future. Sue started the Newzindex database, way back when - the earliest record we have is 1985 - but many of us remember using the printed copy - invaluable for reference work. And it is still going! That is just one of her many accomplishments. We would just like to record our appreciation for all the help and advice she has given us over the years. Sue will be doing project work at Auckland Libraries around heritage and preservation.

26 March 2012The Fairfax Daily News Feed, and the STOP-PRESS (aka. Fast Feed) have now been consolidated into a combined, single feed. This development is a positive one, as the Fast feed now has the additional indexing terms added, and is the permament record for that article. It does not get replaced later by an indexed version. The Fast feed still comes in at approximately 6:40am. To reflect these changes, the STOP-PRESS collection will shortly be renamed Fairfax2012-, and the FairFax2003- collection will be renamed Fairfax2003-2012.
